Recorder

The Recorder acts as the Corporate Secretary and recorder of all Divan and Shrine meetings and votes, ensuring that all aspects of our Shirne Center's operations are consistent with the rules, bylaws, and mandates of Shriners International. He also is the primary business manager of the Shrine Center, providing oversight, direction, and coordination of our office operations and staff.

Noble John McCorkle, A Mason since 1993, served as Worshipful Master at Fortescue Lodge No. 329 in 1999 and at Shorncliffe Lodge No. 420 from 2023 to 2025. He holds the rank of Past Grand Junior Deacon.

John was born in Las Vegas Nevada in 1963. After joining the US Navy in 1983 and completing electronics technician training, he was stationed at NAVCOMSTA Harold E. Holt in Western Australia in 1984, where he met his wife, Roni. John left the Navy in 1989 and moved to the Pilbara in WA in 1993 where he worked in the Iron Ore industry for a decade.

John is the CEO of Occupational Skills Centre Australia, a Registered Training Organisation since 2009, and the founder of the BEE-LEAF ACADEMY, a Charity based in Brisbane Qld, that focuses on empowering its members by practical based training in Beekeeping and Horticulture.

A Mason since 1993, John went into the Chair at Fortescue Lodge No. 329 WAC in 1999 and again at Shorncliffe Lodge No. 420 UGLQ, from 2023 – 2025. John holds the rank of Past Grand Junior Deacon.

John’s childhood memories are filled with Shriner events – parades, circuses and more – and to be able to be a part of this great organisation is both an honour and a privilege, and is the crowning achievement of his masonic career.
