Potentate
The Potentate is, essentially, the President of our Shrine Chapter and is elected annually by the shrine members to lead our efforts. He is responsible to the Imperial Divan for the proper government of his Shrine Chapter and to ensure that officers and nobles observe Shrine Laws and the By-Laws of his Shrine Center. He is also responsible for the appointment of certain Shrine Officers and Committeemen, as well as the oversight of the same.
